Last year we were captivated by the work of  acclaimed Brisbane based, digital artist Jane Long, behind the celebrated ‘Dancing with Costică’ series which we featured in this blog article.

Jane’s newest series, ‘Nasty Little Critters‘ which is on show currently at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea, London, is an intriguing, fun and creepy take on the transition from childhood to adulthood.
In her own words she describes it as “a tongue-in-cheek reflection of childhood and parenthood. With the passing of several family members and my children reaching adulthood I find myself reflecting both on the sweet highlights and the painful losses of family relationships. As I embark on this new chapter in my life, I’m happy to poke a little fun at my past.”

You can view more of Jane’s work here and you can also see it on the album artwork of Norwegian singer, ‘Aurora‘ (who UK readers may know as the singer behind the now infamous John Lewis Christmas advert where she covered Oasis’s “Half the World Away”).
