Cats and the Internet historically go hand in hand. But what happens to those cats that may be missing a hand (or paw if we’re being specific) or eye? Polish photographer Monika Małek’s series of cat images all have one common theme; the cats have a disability. Her aim, she discusses, is to highlight that regardless of missing something physically, these cats still maintain their feline spirit, mind and character. Małek’s explains in an article published on boredpanda that she set out to change the way people perceive disabled cats summarising despite the fact her subjects may have leukemia, or only three legs, or one eye, that ultimately “inability is a state of mind. They don’t feel worse so why would we treat them as such?”
