Twenty-five attendees gathered at the Hotel Bogota on June 9, 2012 for ‘Hotel Fotolia’ – a photoshoot workshop. The hotel served as a perfect environment, boasting various settings and intricate backgrounds to choose from, in which attendees had the opportunity to photograph to their heart’s content, experiment with new tips & tricks, and perfect their skills.

Leading the workshop were Franz Pfluegl, Diana Drubig, Robert Kneschke and Amir Kaljikovic – four of the most successful microstock photography pros from Germany and Austria. They guided and supported the attendees with their advice and revealed their insider tips and techniques for shooting the ideal stock photo.

The attendees not only improved the handling of their cameras and equipment, but they also learned how to add the perfect finishing touches to their images, courtesy of DOCMA magazine and RAW image processing gurus Christoph Künne (Chief Editor) and Olaf Giermann (Photoshop Specialist).

Overall, the lucky ‘Hotel Fotolia’ attendees gained valuable experience and left the workshop with numerous professional photographs to add to their respective portfolios, and to sell exclusively on Fotolia.

‘Hotel Fotolia’ was a result of Fotolia’s photo-education series called ‘Fotolia Academy’, which was launched in 2010. The purpose of the series was to transfer practical photography knowledge from professionals through workshops with alternating subjects to the microstock community.

Fotolia thanks its partners EPSON and California Sunbounce for their continued support by providing the workshop and attendees with on-site expertise, professional printing and top-notch light reflecting gear.
