New iPod Video and Movie Player
Apple has released a new sexy movie and video player iPod.
Way to Go Steve! Apple computer has just released a new iPod that plays movies and hit TV shows. Just announced today Apple has released a 30 GB ($299) and 60 GB ($399) iPod to the movie and TV loving public. The new ipod design features a 2.5 inch color screen with a small thin design.
Apple also released iTunes 6 to allow users to buy and download movies and TV shows to their new iPod. Because of Steve Jobs long history with Disney, PIXAR, and ABC he was able to strike a deal with ABC to let Apple sell episodes from popular TV shows like Lost and Desperate Housewives a day after they air on TV. 2000 other shows and music videos are already available online. Most shows, music videos, and movies go for $2.
Now portable video displays are nothing new but none of the previous products had the marketing power and name of the Apple ipod.
Last year the iPod sales helped quadruple the company’s sales. The iPod accounts for more than 25% of all Apples income.
