Don't hurt the Duck

Leave the Duck alone.

I know this is a little weird but when I saw this ad on Adrants.com I had to say write about it. At first glaze I thought someone was doing a spoof on an Aflac commercial but then I realized it was for something very different. The ad was created for an outdoor Belgium campaign hoping to educate people about Foie Gras; that is the fancy way to say fatty duck liver. I guess Foie Gras is made from ducks kept in captivity and excessively force fed so that their livers expand. The campaign was suppose to run in 40 major Belgian train stations but the railway company complained and refused the posters stating that the images were too shocking.

Here is another ad from the same series.

I don’t like the ads but hey they did their job, I will never eat Foie Gras again. Actually come to think of it I never have. Is it good?
