Million Dollar Home Page

Crazy advertising methods of Fotolia.

Can I tell you something funny? Ever since I joined Fotolia, the company has been very sensitive to budgets, cost cutting, and ROI. I realize that every company must be sensitive to keeping costs low but Fotolia is almost fanatical about it. That is why I find our recent advertising a little comical and ironic.

For $200 Fotolia has purchased a 2 x 100 pixel ad on a crazy website called the million dollar home page. Hundreds of other suckers have done the same thing; it took us almost 2 hours after we purchased the ad space to find our ad.

The website testimonials read just like a late night infomercial quoting more than double site traffic all because they purchased pixels from the Million Dollar Home Page.

Now I am told it will improve our page rank but I have yet to see the return on this one. However, I have been wrong before and I hope the best for Fotolia.

Here is a screen shot of the Million Home Dollar page. Can you find our ad?

Look for the Fotolia logo.
