Will Fotolia accept any type of photo?
Fotolia receives thousands of images a day. Not all photos submitted to the website meet the high standards of the Fotolia editing team. Moreover due to legal, moral, and technical issues Fotolia is not able to accept all photos.
Before a member may upload an image to Fotolia they must complete a short online training session. The training session briefly describes those photos that may be accept by Fotolia. In addition the training teaches a photographer about copyright laws, model releases, and common technical problems.
The legal, technical, and esthetic qualities are not the only issues that the Fotolia editing team uses to evaluate a photo. A member must provide accurate relevant image information while editing the photos. Incomplete and irrelevant information will cause a photo to be denied. However if the image is esthetically pleasing, original, and free from technical or legal issues than the photo has a very strong chance at being selected by the Fotolia editing team. If the photo is denied by the editing team it may qualify for the free section.
