What is an order request?
An Order Request is a unique system for a buyer to make a request for a photograph directly to all the Fotolia photographers.
Buyers make this request via a Fotolia Alert. Fotolia buyers have the ability to create a Fotolia alert when they want to be notified of new photos matching their predefined keywords and descriptions are submitted to the website. Fotolia alerts are sent to users via RSS feeds or email.
Each Fotolia alert is sent to photographers in real time so they may quickly submit photos that match the users alert.
These alerts are what make up an Order Request.
How can a photographer stay up to date on order requests?
Photographers have a few options:
- Add the order request page to your favorites list and visit often
- Or automatically receive instant updates via RSS syndication. Click here and then copy the RSS URL into your RSS reader.

I finally got around to uploading a photo in response to a buyer request. I don't know if you will accept it, but it seems to me that if there is a request out there you might want to take the relationship to a request into account - either in deciding whether to accept the image or in expediting review to accommodate the potential, requesting buyer (and incidentally the photographer and the responsiveness of the request program of Fotolia).
Is there, or will there be any means by which an uploading photographer can indicate that the image is believed to be directly responsive to a request?
Even better, might you devise a way in which the photographer can click on something next to the request list item to start the upload process and simultaneously link it to the request in your server?

i saw a request for a hand holding a house and uploaded one. I am not sure how this request system works and don't know how I let the person who requested the image know. Do I just submit it and hope he or she sees it?
