Canon announces the Powershot S2 - IS

The Canon Powershot S2 IS features a 5 megapixel sensor and a 36-432 mm (35mm equiv) with Image Stabilization. One really cool feature is the “ Moviesnap” mode. To capture those special childhood moments everyone misses with their camera simply turn on the Moviesnap mode film the child and hold your finger over the trigger and snap away when needed, the camera allows you to capture full frame 5 megapixel images while filming so you never miss the shot. It is two very cool cameras in one.

The movie mode records stereo sound and 30fps (frames per second) VGA quality.
