New Marketing Manager at AgfaPhoto
John Roberts formally of ImmageTech, Inc., a nationwide technical sales and service provider of analog and digital imaging equipment, has joined AgfaPhoto as Senior Marketing Manager of Consumer Products.
In his new position, Roberts will oversee AgfaPhoto's marketing initiatives for its complete line of consumer products, including Agfa-branded film, private label film, single-use cameras, and "digital film" flash memory cards.

John Roberts Joins AgfaPhoto as Senior Marketing Manager
Ridgefield Park, N.J., June 29, 2005 The North American operating unit of AgfaPhoto, the independent company which has emerged from the Consumer Imaging division of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, today announced that John Roberts has joined the company as senior marketing manager for consumer products. In his new position, Roberts will oversee AgfaPhoto's marketing initiatives for its complete line of consumer products, including Agfa-branded film, private label film, single-use cameras, and "digital film" flash memory cards.
"John Roberts is an important addition to our management team as we expand our marketing programs to retailers in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and continue our strong sales momentum, with revenues this year accelerating to a pace 20 percent faster than last year," said AgfaPhoto Marketing Director Craig Wetherbee. "Our consumer products sold through key retail segments including independent and chain drug, supermarket, warehouse and club channels, as well as our longstanding customer base of independent photo dealers and professional photo labs account for a significant portion of our revenue stream. Bringing John on board, with his wide experience in meeting customer needs in the imaging business, will increase our ability to capitalize on the growth opportunities in the retail marketplace, both for digital and film-based products."
Roberts brings to his new position nearly a decade of experience with Agfa products. Most recently he was with ImmageTech, Inc., a nationwide technical sales and service provider of analog and digital imaging equipment, where he was a trainer for AgfaPhoto customers who purchased minilab equipment. Before that, he was a key account applications specialist for Agfa Consumer Imaging, AgfaPhoto's predecessor, where he was a customer liaison and training representative to mass merchant accounts -- including Kroger, Hannaford Brothers and Qualex -- using Agfa minilab equipment and consumables such as film, photo paper and chemicals.
Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science degree in imaging systems management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
