Adobe Lightroom - a free tool for professional photographers

Adobe Lightroom is a free beta and this week Apple announced a free update to their Aperture software. Will Adobe's free offering affect Aperture sales?

This week Apple have announced a free update to their Aperture software, but Adobe have launched their Lightroom software and it is completely free.

Lightroom, however, is a cross-platform application, which opens it up to a bigger audience.

It might be worth getting this free software now before the next update comes out and you have to pay for it.
