Genuine Fractal
If you have to interpolate…
Today a press release from Lizardtech for Genuine Fractals 4.0 caused some reflection on the last article posted called “Is bigger really better”. It is in the opinion of this writer that education is key to high quality digital imaging. Educating the stock agencies that interpolated files from photographers are a bad idea may take some time and effort. In the mean time photographers should try and locate a stock agency with reasonable requests for file size like Fotolia.com. If your livelihood is dependant upon the demands of stock photography agencies and you need to up sample (interpolate) your digital files to qualify then Genuine Fractal is the software for you to use. Their easy to use software and complex math preserves more image detail after interpolation than Photoshop alone.
Recently released, Genuine Fractal 4.0 is a plugin for Adobe Photoshop that allows photographers to create high-quality, print-ready enlargements of various sizes and resolutions from a digital image. This new version features a more streamlined workflow within Photoshop menus and without the proprietary formats (.stn) as before. The suggested retail price for Genuine Fractals 4.0 is just $159.
